MOVE4BGC Day of Race Info
Early Registration & Packet Pickup
Prior to the event day, there will be time for MOVE4BGC participants to register and pick up their event packets. Packets will include a bib, event tee, fundraising incentives (dependent on fundraising goals), routes, swag and more!
If you are picking up for your team, please let us know at least one day ahead, so we can assemble each team members packet and have them ready to go at the time of your pickup. You can do so by sending an email to specialevents@bgcdc.org
You can still pick up and register the morning of the event, but we STRONGLY encourage you to pick up early to avoid lines.
Early packet pick-up will be at the BGCDC Admin office located at 1818 W. Beltline Hwy, Madison, WI 53713
on the following days:
- Wednesday, July 13 from 4:00-7:30 pm
- Thursday, July 14 from 4:00-7:30 pm
- Friday, July 15 from 11:00 am- 1:30 pm

Parking
There is special volunteer parking (please see event layout).
There is plenty of street parking and parking next to the Mckee Farms Park tennis courts and splash pad. We will have volunteers helping to direct traffic. MOVE4BGC event participants can use our overflow parking in the Benevento’s and North Star Resource Group parking lots located off of Chapel Valley Road.
Bag Check
Bag check is available from 6:45 am- 2 pm to all participants. bag check is located in the bag check tent in front of the park shelter. Small items and electronics will be accepted. We are not responsible for stolen or lost items. Those items that are not picked up you will be able to get the following week at Admin Office, 1818 W. Beltline, M-F 9-5
Who Can Participate
This is a family friendly event, Children 8 and under are FREE to attend, however, they must be accompanied by an adult. We highly recommend families and children take part in the 8mile, 5k, 2 mile walk and yoga activities! If you have a stroller or wheelchair, we ask that you please line up in the back for the safety of others.
Pet Policy
We love our furry friends, but for the safety of our event participants, pets are not allowed on event premises.
weather/ Refund Policy
This ride will happen rain or shine unless severe weather is forecasted. This call will be made at 5:30 am the day of the race. This ride does not offer refunds. You will receive an email if the event is canceled. Please also check our Facebook page regularly for important event updates: https://www.facebook.com/bgcdc . In the chance that the event is cancelled, we still suggest you move on your own time! You can even show us how you are moving by posting on social media and tagging our pages!
