College Decision Day

College Decision Day is a special celebration that honors AVID/TOPS students from La Follette, Memorial, East, and West High Schools as they declare their postsecondary plans and prepare for life after graduation. This partnership event between the Madison Metropolitan School District and the Boys & Girls Clubs of Dane County brings together families, Senior Support Teams, and community guests to recognize the hard work and achievements of these scholars. The students are part of the AVID (Advancement via Individual Determination) program, a college readiness system that offers support in organization, study skills, critical thinking, and career exploration. Through a powerful collaboration with the TOPS (Teens of Promise) program, AVID students receive additional resources and mentorship from Boys & Girls Clubs of Dane County, helping ensure they are ready for the next step in their journey.
